The team chat platform that made channels, threads, and app integrations the default way teams talk.

DEV-TOP · horizontalOur take
The default choice for team chat for most small-to-mid teams — the free tier is genuinely usable for very small teams, and the ecosystem of integrations is unmatched, but per-seat costs add up fast for larger headcounts.

Free plan caps message history at 90 days and restricts calling to 1:1 huddles only — no group voice/video meetings. App integrations are capped at 10. Pro removes both caps but is still 1:1-meeting-limited-free; Business+ is the first tier with compliance features. Slack's own pricing page also showed a limited-time 50% introductory discount on Pro/Business+ at time of check — the figures recorded here are the standard (non-promo) list prices.
