Why Open Graph and Twitter Cards are separate from SEO tags
Your <title> and meta description control how Google shows your page in search results. Open Graph tags (og:title, og:description, og:image) control how the page appears when shared on Facebook and LinkedIn. Twitter Card tags do the same for X. All three read from the same page but are separate tag sets — miss the Open Graph tags and your link preview on social media falls back to an unpredictable, often ugly default.
Character limits that actually matter
Google typically truncates title tags around 50–60 characters and descriptions around 155–160 characters in search results. Social platforms crop og:title and og:description differently again. The generator enforces sensible limits with live counters so your snippet doesn’t end in an awkward mid-word ellipsis on any platform.
JSON-LD structured data
Beyond meta tags, the generator can output basic JSON-LD structured data, which helps search engines understand your page’s type (article, product, organization) and is a prerequisite for certain rich-result features in Google Search.
